Some changes

Dear All,

As I become more and more busy with many things happening in my life, it is becoming quite difficult to carry on with my blogging the way I have done till now. As some of you might already know, I’m currently working on my first short film project; a project extremely important for me. With my current job and other regular commitments, it’s already a challenge to find enough time for that.  No matter how much I love reading your blogs and commenting on your posts, it does take some time from my shrinking schedule. So, for some time at least, I have decided to change certain things.

No, I don’t intend to quit blogging or take any break. But, henceforth, my blogging will be more professional in nature wherein I will be mostly writing about film related stuff and, hopefully soon, about my film too. In terms of following other blogs or sites also, I will be mostly following only those blogs or sites which are primarily film related or run by fellow budding filmmakers/script writers/film professionals. Of course it doesn’t mean that I wont be following your blogs at all, but yes, it wont be as much as before. It goes without saying that all of you, whose blogs I follow, are much better bloggers than me and what I have gotten from you guys during all these years is invaluable. So, please don’t take it as an offense if you don’t see me commenting on your blog for the next few months. Because it has nothing to do with your blogging, but with the stuff happening at my end. And, of course, you are still most welcome to visit my blog and share your thoughts if you want to.

Any ideas??

Ok, this is really silly, but then when did I pretend otherwise. Let’s say, you need to stay at home for a week, because for some very personal reason, you cannot show up in the office. You cannot afford to take a week off and you can also not take a sick leave for that long, as it will require a Doctor’s note. Now, your boss and your office rules do allow you to work from home under special circumstances. And, you do have all the time and the resources to work from home. But, the problem is, what excuse you can possibly give to your boss which will sound credible and will justify your staying & working from home for a week? Ofcourse you cannot tell the real reason. You can also not fake illness or cite family reasons because you have no family here. 

Any ideas/excuses you smart people can come up with?? Thanks in advance!

As the final siege draws to an end at Taj, I’m perhaps gonna sleep now. Since Wednesday evening, I’m glued to the Internet/TV all day along, checking latest ‘updates’ and commentaries on India’s 9/11; an attack which, most likely, will change the course of our nation and will also impact the world at large. I have nothing to say, nothing to add because I have no feelings left..I no longer understand what humanity is, what politics is, what information is and what truth is..I don’t know..I understand nothing..

May God give strength and peace to all those who lost their loved ones in this one another spectacle of our ‘modern’ times.

Joke of the day

I overheard my office mate talking loudly on phone. The usually soft spoken and demure girl sounded like a completely different person; her tone was sharp & demanding and it seemed to me as if she was really pissed off with some bad purchase. I was pretty convinced that she must be talking with some customer support person over some defective furniture or perhaps some wrong bill. After she hung up the phone, I casually remarked, ‘oh ya, sometimes one needs to be bit strict with these support guys to get things done’. She looked at me bit surprised, as if saying, ‘what the hell are you talking about? I said..’oh, I mean, your just finished conversation on phone’..and she said..’oh that..no no, it was not customer support..I was talking with my husband regarding some purchases he did on his own!!!!’
