Joke of the day
October 24, 2008 · 15 Comments
I overheard my office mate talking loudly on phone. The usually soft spoken and demure girl sounded like a completely different person; her tone was sharp & demanding and it seemed to me as if she was really pissed off with some bad purchase. I was pretty convinced that she must be talking with some customer support person over some defective furniture or perhaps some wrong bill. After she hung up the phone, I casually remarked, ‘oh ya, sometimes one needs to be bit strict with these support guys to get things done’. She looked at me bit surprised, as if saying, ‘what the hell are you talking about? I said..’oh, I mean, your just finished conversation on phone’..and she said..’oh that..no no, it was not customer support..I was talking with my husband regarding some purchases he did on his own!!!!’
Have a nice weekend guys.

Watch out guys!

Dont ever assume that only mental hospitals house nuts and socially challenged people; you can find nuts everywhere around you..and mind you, they come in all shapes and sizes. I mean, social & economic status, education, clothes and communication skills do not matter here!
So, the onus is only on you to protect yourself from these seemingly ‘normal’ people around you.

Burn After Reading; go and watch it
October 11, 2008 · 4 Comments
After my two failed attempts in the last three weeks to watch the Coen Brothers‘ latest offering, Burn After Reading, I finally watched the much awaited movie today. The movie is quite funny and very smart in it’s execution. In short, the movie makes fun of everybody (The CIA, the flirts, lonely men, lonely plus looks obsessed middle aged women, Russians and, in general, everybody) and still nobody will feel offended. George Clooney is funny and John Malkovich is super funny in the movie. Frances McDormand seemed to still carry the hangover of her character in, more than decade old, Fargo, but that act, funnily, works well in this movie too. Yes, this is not the best of Coen Brothers, but who cares? (Iam sure even Coen bros didnt care that much this time). I would say, go and watch it!

Decisions
October 7, 2008 · 8 Comments
He always used to say that no one decision or event can make or break your life; now, he is not sure of that because he finds that the ghosts of some decisions, which he made long back, still keep on visiting and affecting his present.
Moral of the story: Every single ball of this match counts in the end; don’t underestimate the power of even trivialest of decisions you make in your life.
