So, finally we lost in cricket. It’s a big disappointment for billions of Indians around the world. There is nothing much to say here about team’s performance, cricket in general and so on which is not being said since last 3 days by thousands of people in their blogs, news stories, reports etc. I guess we all have to get more honest about capabilities and motivations of our cricket players. Most likely, they are bunch of ordinary people who are made big by media.
Iam getting extremely restless nowadays..I only want to do things which have some clear purpose and tangible benefit. Iam getting so irritated by trivial things such as cleaning my apartment, cooking, laundry, replying to stupid emails by friends.. I think the reason for this is that I feel Iam running short of time and I have to compensate for those lost moments and mistakes of the past many years..It’s making me extra cautious, finicky and Iam overanalyzing things..Iam suffering from perfection disease..everything has to be perfect for me..perfect food, perfect books to read, perfect things to do..common lallopallo give me a break yaar..
Most likely, Iam shifting to Toronto soon..and I hate this shifting thing..Iam getting goosebumps looking for place there, doing all arrangements and have to do all this amidst my job, teaching assignments and research project Iam doing for cross cultural training.
Take it easy lallopallo..

Sad Day for cricket
March 19, 2007 · 2 Comments
Past two days have been really sad in the world of cricket. The much hyped world cup started on a tragic note with Bob Woolmer , coach of Pakistan cricket team, dying of stress/heart attack after his team’ s shocking defeat to Ireland, minnows in world cricket. Pakistan’s loss was one of the biggest upsets in the history of the game. Whole of Pakistan was devastated. It’s unfortunate that people tend to take a game so seriously. People in Pakistan took to streets shouting slogans such as , death to Inzamam, death to Bob etc. It’s still not clear how much all this affected the deceased coach.
Ironically, same day India also suffered one of their biggest upsets in the game after they were humbled by Bangladesh. India clearly underestimated their rivals and took the game very lightly. Indian cricket establishment is full of nepotism and regionalism and that shows in the selection of some consistently underperforming players.Let’s hope that things only get better than this.
